Since CO₂ is a safe and effective option in almost all of the above cases, the use of Angiodroid is indicated for all patients undergoing peripheral angiography, especially for diabetic patients and absolutely necessary for patients allergic to CO₂. iodine or suffering from kidney disease, which could be aggravated by iodinated contrast material, causing contrast-induced nephropathy.
The Injector is fully automatic, the operator only has to connect the catheter to the injection line (supplied with the product) and choose from the predefined parameters studied for each district to be analyzed (customizable according to the situation if necessary).
The injection can be carried out both via the touch screen panel and the wireless remote control supplied with the injector: in the second case, the operator can also be in the other room (at a maximum distance of 15 meters) during angiography, avoiding a great deal of X-ray exposure.
Arc synchronization is also possible thanks to the cable provided by Angiodroid, compatible with Philips and Ziehm Angiosystems.
What guarantees the best possible performance is the integrated pressure sensor which constantly monitors the injector.
CO₂ is an odorless, colorless and invisible gas, which is why it is important not to let it mix with the ambient air during the injection, in order to avoid an embolism. The Injector ensures the use of just "pure" medical CO₂ thanks to the one-way valve at the end of the injection line (and the automatic washing of the catheter carried out as soon as it is connected to the device).
Thanks to Angiodroid, the injection is quick and easy: after setting the parameters, the system will automatically load the desired dose to be used and the external LEDs will signal the status of the injector to know when to start the procedure.
Ease of use starts with the ergonomic design of the device, which is easily moved from room to room thanks to its four wheels (and relative brakes).
Moreover, when using the injector, the operator can not only choose preset dedicated parameters, but also save his custom values and set the automatic injection repeat, which will only take 30 seconds thanks to the Fast Automatic Reload function.
The Injector is in fact almost completely independent of the operator, due to its automatic procedures: the user will only have to switch on the device, connect the catheter and start the injection with the desired parameters.
