Its mathematically modeled and bioengineered structure ensures optimal performance. The flexible cobalt-chromium alloy stent within the valve serves as an energy absorber, effectively reducing stress on the leaflets and enhancing their longevity.     The Carpentier-Edwards PERIMOUNT Magna Ease aortic valve is composed of high-quality materials:

    • Valve leaflets: Made from bovine pericardium, ensuring durability and functionality.
    • Stent: Constructed from a flexible cobalt-chromium alloy, absorbing energy and minimizing leaflet stress.
    • Fabric covering stent: Utilizes polyester cloth, providing an additional layer of support and reinforcement.
    • Valve sewing ring: Crafted from silicone rubber, facilitating secure attachment during the implantation process.

    The Carpentier-Edwards PERIMOUNT Magna Ease valve incorporates the innovative Carpentier-Edwards ThermaFix process, featured in Model 3300TFX. This unique process addresses major calcium binding sites, effectively neutralizing residual glutaraldehydes and phospholipids.

    For proper storage, the valve should be kept within a temperature range of 10°C to 25°C (50-77°F) and stored using glutaraldehyde as a preserving solution. During the rinse procedure, it is recommended to rinse the valve with 500 ml of sterile physiological saline solution for 60 seconds. This rinse should be repeated once using a fresh saline solution.
