Seminar on the tomosynthesis added value in breast cancer screening and diagnosis

In Thursday 11 July, 2019 Promamec organised a seminar under the theme of “ What is the added value of tomosynthesis in breast cancer screening and diagnosis ?”

The seminar was presented by Dr. Amrani, radiologist and ex-university lecturer at Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca, co-founder of the Roudani diagnostic radiology center. The radiologist did not hesitate to present a multitude of concrete clinical cases, showing each time a palpable difference between the use of 2D VS the use of tomosynthesis in the context of breast cancer screening. The comparisons showed in each case a higher accuracy of tomosynthesis in front of 2D.

Many doctors attented the meeting, mainly generalists and gynecologists.

The seminar ended with a Q&A session, the opportunity for the healthcare professionals to discuss together the different opportunities and challenges of the tomosynthesis technology in breast cancer screening and diagnosis.
