In partnership with the Association of Resident Doctors of Rabat (AMRR), and in view of the current conjuncture of Covid-19, the Marketing department of PROMAMEC laboratory organized on Thursday April 9, 2020 a Webinar addressing the following theme : "How can the doctor deal with the stress caused by new health risks (Covid-19) ?" The online conference was moderated by Dr Loubna TAHRI, Occupational health doctor, Specialist in prevention of professional risks, and Medical advisor inside the medical division of PROMAMEC.
The aim of the Webinar was to educate the residents of Ibn Sina University Hospital about the importance of managing their stress during this delicate period, when the medical profession is called upon to exercise its function in an environment exposed to a higher risk of contamination.
For this purpose, several techniques and solutions were exposed by Dr Tahri and aimed at helping her audience to better manage stress during this phase. In her lecture, the Doctor mainly addressed the following points :
- Work-related stress
- Worldwide statistics on stress, especially in the hospital environment and its sources/factors
- The 3 main phases of stress (Alarm, resistance, Burn out)
- Which part of the brain triggers stress, why, and how?
- How to avoid and prevent the Burn out phase?
- How to manage stress in everyday life?
- Maslach test
A seminar with high added value which benefited a large group of Ibn Sina resident doctors.
The webinar was animated by Dr. Loubna Tahri, Medical officer, Specialist in preventing professional risks, and Medical advisor inside Promamec. The moderation was provided by Dr. Mounir Chaouki, Marketing director at Promamec.
