The stepped geometry of the CORAIL stem is designed to reduce shear forces and improve compressive loading in the host cancellous bone.
The CORAIL Stem offers standard and high offset options that can provide restoration of femoral offset and soft tissue tension. The CORAIL stem also offers a coxa vara neck option which provides an additional option for varus neck angle patients.
The CORAIL Stem utilizes a compaction pinning designed to preserve blood supply to promote bone healing and growth around the implant. This technique showed 93.7% stem survival at 30 years.
